Notice how many resources have to go to build and maintain a nuclear reactor (i.e. electricity factory) and the life-long damage it does cause (i.e. Fukushima) VS the more flexible and low investment solution of solar power and wind power with air filtration &water filtration... throw in some industrial works using an easily grow-able plant (hemp) and people can easily move towards self-sustaining economies.

This new and incredible device (Makerbot) reminds me of a replicator from Star Trek with a bit of 'teleporter' type functionality (i.e.scan an item miles away and recreate/replicate at home). 

Of course,  in Telepeortation you have to DESTROY a person/object before copying it in fulll on the other side i.e. 
"Teleportation involves dematerializing an object at one point, and sending the details of that object's precise atomic configuration to another location, where it will be reconstructed."

Don't you think it would be safer if we just focused our tech and tax dollars on wormholes?  i.e. folding space-time and stepping across?

So teleportation is real. The question is ... is this the best use of our resources and if it is even ethical as it raises more serious questions than cloning as cloning doesn't involve destroying someone before replicating them.
